About the book:
A TRAGIC BEGINNING…
Isadora Nikitas understands what it means to be betrayed. That lesson was taught to her in the prime of her life, and when she is offered a chance to exact revenge, she finds it difficult to refuse.
Instead, she entrusts her survival to a mysterious vampire known only as Diomêdês, a male who wants nothing in return but to watch over her—in every way imaginable.
Gifted with speed, strength, and immortality, she determines that her life will no longer be governed by the needs and wants of a mere man. She has cowered for the last time, and with her Ancient by her side, she thrives and blossoms into the most formidable female vampire in existence.
But, once upon a time, like all little girls, Isadora believed in love. She believed it because she once had it. So, when it comes along a second time, she knows that it’s possible—but when you love someone, they become your weakness. Unless, in fact, they become your enemy instead…
A MYSTERIOUS PAST…
Fulfilling your life’s prophecy should be empowering. At least, that’s what Elias Fontana always believed. But, as he stands guard over the beautiful vampire he’s taken hostage, his convictions start to crumble. Made to believe by his creators that he and two others have been designed to destroy a dangerous race, he has difficulty connecting his current reality to the woman he once loved.
A TANGLED TALE TO UNRAVEL…
When friends become enemies and enemies become lovers, who can you trust in the webs of lies and despair? And, when your life is at stake and blood has been shed, how much are you willing to sacrifice to fulfill your destiny?

What I think?
OK so when I finished Alasdair, I was really excited to read Isadora, because lets face it, that book ended in a big cliffhanger. Also Alasdair was mostly about Alasdair, Leo and Vasilios, like 90% of it anyways. But I am not sure I can say the same about Isadora. I was expecting a lot more about Isadora and her sire Diomêdês and Elias. But only about 33% of the story belonged to them and the rest to Alasdair trio and a little part to Eton, Thanos and Paris.
Now to Isadora. She was betrayed in her human life, by her brother as she fell in love with his fiance. In return for her vengeance, Diomêdês turned her into his first sire, and they have been together ever since. After about 2000 years she falls in love again but with a man who was supposed to be born to kill her- Elias. They fall in love and she leaves him when things with Diomêdês get serious.
11 years later they cross paths and she ends up as his captive and he tries to kill her, but he couldn’t succeed because he was in love with her. And then she is freed and she tries to kill him but fails because she is in love with him too. I think it’s the right time to say that I did not feel their chemistry, their love for each other. But for that this book was a 5 star for me. I really enjoyed the story.
The plot certainly thickens and things get serious and steamy. I had a lot of questions at the end of Alasdair and many were answered and those that were not, had an entire new bunch joining them awaiting the next book. It was very erotic and there is a bit of everything in this book- MF, FF, MM, MMM, MFM- for everyone.
My favorite part of this book was however the snippets of Eton and Thanos. Those were painful and being an emotion sucking bitch, I totally gobbled those part up. I cannot wait until Thanos is released because that book is going to be a spectacular conclusion. Ella Frank’s writing was no doubt very good. There is no question to that.
“Even if you are not with me, even if you are dead or gone, you are still here. I do not have a beating heart, but I know how to love. This is my heart. These feelings for our kind? They are so hard to find, but with you, I found them. I love you as I have only loved two before. Please stay. Please stay with me and let me show you.”
